PEFF SCHOOLS

THE ITINERANT PEFF SCHOOLS aims to be a useful and important educational tool to expose local and global environmental situations and problems, as well as to show different ways of living, understanding, understanding and acting in society seeking to promote changes in the conception of people, about themselves themselves and about their place in the world and with respect to the environment.

More than 15,000 students and teachers from primary, secondary and kindergarten schools from different parts of the country have been able to access a program made up of films from all over the world, which propose a reflection on environmental problems that we face as a society and generate a debate on which they are the tools we have to deal with them in pursuit of sustainable development.  This program is accompanied by workshops, talks and other activities.

ENVIRONMENTAL CINEMA AS AN EDUCATIONAL TOOL

From PEFF we intend to use cinema as a tool for entertaining and useful action in environmental education for sustainability with the aim of raising awareness and contributing to improving the quality of life of our community, seeking to promote changes in the conception of people, about themselves. themselves and about their place in the world and with respect to the environment. That is why we have been working for 7 years with schools of all levels in different parts of Argentina.

Rationale:

PEFF ESCUELAS is covered by the Education Law of the Province of Chubut (Law 91/10) because in its art. 109° stipulates that "provide environmental education at all levels and modalities of the Educational System, with special emphasis on the preservation of forests, rivers, soil, steppe, seas and ecosystems, with the purpose of promoting values , behaviors and attitudes that are consistent with a balanced environment and the protection of biological diversity; that tend to the preservation of natural resources and their sustainable use and that improve the quality of life of the population.”

The General Environmental Law No. 25675- Article 14 provides that environmental education is the basic instrument to generate in citizens, values, behaviors and attitudes that are consistent with a balanced environment, tend to the preservation of natural resources and their use. sustainable, and improve the quality of life of the population.
